Rich from volcanic soil, the San Pedro regions of Atitlan provides an excellent climate for growing coffee. Named for the Xocomil breezes that brush the hills, cooling the area from the hot afternoon sun, this coffee is a delightful departure from the Guatemalan offerings we’ve had over the past few years. The body is a bit richer and rounder and the fruit notes are reminiscent of ripe plums and clementines. We particularly like the notes from V60 pour-over, while the Chemex yields a slightly more refined flavor that has a slight note of cocoa.
